| LUTHERAN HIGH NORTHEAST
HISTORY
The eight congregations of the Lutheran
High School Association of Northeast Nebraska
(LHSANN) opened Lutheran High Northeast
(LHNE) on August 26, 1997 with 31 students
in 9th and 10th grades. 11th grade was
added in 1998 and 12th grade was added
in 1999. Today the association has grown
to 22 congregations and there are currently
130 students enrolled in grades 9 through
12. After holding classes in the Sunday
school wings of Grace Lutheran Church
- Norfolk and Our Savior Lutheran Church
- Norfolk, the students and staff moved
into the current building in March of
1999. The first graduating class of LHNE
had its commencement exercises in May
of 2000. In January 2001, the office wing
and library-media center additions to
the building were completed
and dedicated.
