Meet the staff at our savior

Colleen began working for OSL in January of 2016. Colleen and her husband Dennis have three daughters, one son and seven grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and also likes to travel. Her absolute favorite Bible verse is John 3:16.

Dennis began working at Our Savior in 2018. He claims that he wears a florescent shirt everyday so that he is easy to find. His favorite Bible passage is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Tyler began working at Our Savior in January 2024. He has been a member of Our Savior his entire life and was baptized and confirmed here. Tyler graduated from Concordia University-Seward in 2011 with a degree in Education and has been teaching and working in organizational administration ever since. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10.

Trisha has been a member of Our Savior since 2016 and joined as a staff member in May 2025. She has extensive experience in print and digital communications for newspapers, health care organizations, and non-profits. Trisha is passionate about using her skills to point others to Christ. She is married to Ben, and together they have three children: Kaleigh, Alaina and Carson. In her free time, she enjoys reading, camping, and cheering on the Husker football and volleyball teams. She is also writing a novel. Her favorite Bible verse is Exodus 14:14.

Shelley is a member of St. John Lutheran, Battle Creek, and has been an administrative assistant at Our Savior since July 2026. She worked as a dental hygienist for 20 years before managing a dental clinic and then transitioned to church work. She’s married to Jeff, and they have a son, Blake, and a daughter, Halle. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family, hike and read. Her favorite Bible verses are Philippians 4:6-7.

Pastor Frank joined the OSL staff in May 2008. He is married, has 6 children and 14 grandchildren. Other than his extensive family, Pastor Frank enjoys his motorcycle and is interested in fine wine. He tells us that his favorite Bible verse changes, but today it is Ephesians 2:8-10.

Caitlin is a lifelong member of Our Savior and joined the staff in June 2026 as a part-time administrative assistant. She has an associate’s degree in business. When she’s not working at the church office, she makes drinks at a local coffee shop. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend, Caleb, and her dog, a Bernedoodle named Murphy. She happily spoils them both. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2.

Hannah started at Our Savior in 2023. She received a bachelor's degree in Music (Vocal Performance) and and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a Marketing minor from Concordia University-Seward. She is originally from Bay City, Mich. Hannah loves everything that has to do with music. One of her favorite Bible passages is Psalm 1.

CeCe started as the DCE intern for Children's Ministry in June 2026. She has a diverse background including working as a dancer, color guard coach, chef, and a preschool director. She loves teaching and directing, especially the preschool age group. She's originally from Arroyo Grande, Calif, and is a blessed auntie to 18 kids - not by blood but by chosen heart. Her immediate family includes her dog, Fawkes. In her free time she likes to read, sew, and play games. Her favorite Bible verse is Esther 4:14.

Christine has been at Our Savior since summer 2008. She is married to Brad and has three children. Her passions are working with youth, families and people of all ages, pointing them to Christ. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, camping, the Colorado mountains, and coffee. She strives to “delight herself in the Lord” in all she does (Psalms 37:4).

Pastor Eric has spent his entire life as an active member of Lutheran churches, mainly in the Chicago area. In 2018, he felt called to retire from his career as a professional artist and enter into the ministry. Pastor Eric is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys being endlessly creative and playing with his kids. His favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 3:15.

Brandon has been working with youth and young adults his entire career, 25 years in La Mesa, Calif., and now at Our Savior since 2025. When he attended the LCMS Youth Gathering as a high schooler, he realized that God was calling him to this career. He continues to serve the church by leading the Young Adult Volunteers at the Youth Gathering and has been in this role since 2010. He met his wife, Elisabeth, while they were both volunteering at the Gathering. While they don't have kids of their own, they have "adopted" several of their friends' kids. Brandon has been collecting comic books since he was a kid. (He loves Superman!) His favorite Bible verse is also his Confirmation verse, Matthew 6:33.

Kristen started working as an administrative assistant at Our Savior in March 2025. She often helps lead worship as a vocalist. Kristen and her husband, Jeff, are hoteliers. She enjoys spending time with her stepson, his wife and two grandchildren. She's affectionately known as "the singing baker," and creates new recipes by request. She also sings with the local group Boundless. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:10.

Tim Hoffman is currently enrolled in the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. He has been serving at Our Savior-Leigh since 2025 and once ordained, will serve as the campus pastor. Tim is also employed at Faith Health in Norfolk as an executive director. Tim and his wife, Carisa, have four children, Timothy, Jr., Cadence, Christianna, and Charity. His Confirmation and favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28:20.

Evan rejoined the ministry team at Our Savior in August 2025. He grew up in southern Missouri and later studied Theology and Christian Education at Concordia University-Seward. Over the past five years, he has served both here at Our Savior and at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, Mo. Evan has a heart for helping children, youth, and families grow in their faith. He also has a passion for writing and playing music, using it as a way to point others to Christ and encourage the church in worship. Evan and his wife, Bethany, are blessed with three boys—Silas, Milo, and Elijah. In his free time, he enjoys bowhunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. His favorite Bible passage is Deuteronomy 11:18–21, a reminder of passing on faith to the next generation.

Amy spent her life both serving as a youth director and children’s minister in the church, and as a teacher of students from 1st-12th grade. She is blessed to be married to Chris, and has three sons: Mitchell, Jay, and Braydan. She loves hiking, traveling with her family, and drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. Her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9.

Ross Petersen is a lifelong member of the LCMS and has been a member at Our Savior since 2007. He is currently enrolled in the SMP program at Concordia-St. Louis, Mo. Ross is self-employed and married to his wife, Nora, of 16 years. Ross and Nora and their four children, Makenzie, Logan, Grant, and Olivia enjoy traveling and volunteer work. Ross’s favorite Bible passage is a prayer from the apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:16-19.

Carlos began serving at Our Savior in September 2021. Since he was 12 years old, he's been passionate about serving in Worship Arts. Starting off in his home church in Crete, Neb., moving to Lincoln, Neb., and most recent for the last 10 years in Wayne, Neb. Carlos has worked with churches across the country installing audio equipment, training local volunteers and working with pastors on church events for community outreach. He enjoys being up on the stage playing music as well as working behidn the scense at Our Savior. Carlos has a huge passion for playing music for God, building relationships with new people, and serving. His favorite Bible verse is Psalms 92:10.

With a bachelor's degree in Ceramics, Greg began his career as a studio potter. While growing in his faith as an adult, Greg felt called into ministry and attended Concordia University-St. Paul online. In 2011, Greg began serving the church, while living in Indiana. In 2016, he served in Columbus, Neb., before joining OSL in April 2024. Greg and his wife, Kate, have a daughter, Romy, a son, Greyson and daughter-in-law, Macy. Greg loves spending time with family, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and making pottery in his free time. His favorite Bible passage is Ephesians 3:17-18.

With a background in human resources, benefits and retirement, Michelle brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the Our Savior administration team. Michelle enjoys working at the church where all of her family members worship. She also owns her own wellness company. In her free time, she enjoys sports, baking, volunteering, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her favorite Bible verse is John 1:5.

Pastor Lee Weander has been pointing people to Christ for the last 30 years, currently serving as the senior pastor at Our Savior. He is passionate about building the Kingdom and is energized by the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives. Pastor Lee considers it a privilege to walk alongside other church leaders as they develop a passion and joy for ministry. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, golfing, and cheering on the Nebraska Huskers and the Chicago Cubs. His favorite chapter in the Bible is Luke 15.

Pastor Caleb began ministry at OSL in August 2024. He and his wife Alicia have two children. Pastor Caleb loves to help people deepen their faith in God and see His presence in their lives, especially in hard times. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with family, being outside, and cheering for his favorite team - the Miami Dolphins. His favorite chapter of the Bible is 1 Corinthians 15.

Jenny is a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church (now known as the Our Savior-Leigh campus), and has been performing church office duties since April 2024. She also serves as the preschool director, since 2008. She is married to Zach and they have two daughters and one son. In her free time, she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, and being outdoors. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
